Lorsque les jours se transforment en semaines... l'horreur revient.
Dans cette frissonnante suite de 28 jours plus tard, les habitants des îles britanniques semblent avoir perdu le combat contre la maladie, le virus meurtrier de la rage ayant tué tous les résidents. Six mois plus tard, un groupe d'américains ose mettre le pied sur l'île, convaincus que le danger est écarté. Mais de toute évidence, le fléaux n'est qu'endormi en attendant ses prochaines victimes...
