어릴 적 부모와 헤어졌던 제시는 부모가 살해당한 집으로 20년만에 돌아온다. 선조들의 사진을 관찰하던 제시는 수정이 박혀있는 투명 두개골의 존재와 그것을 가지게 된 자는 영원한 삶을 얻을 수 있다는 놀라운 사실을 알게 된다. 결국 제시는 아츠텍에서 그 두개골을 발견했다는 선조의 무덤을 파헤친다.
