Na hora do chá, cinco convidados contam experiências sobrenaturais. Ao pôr do sol, deixado sozinho com o psicanalista Van Straaten, o arquiteto tenta estrangulá-lo. É o terrível final de um sonho do qual ele acorda. Mas um telefonema o convoca para uma casa de campo: é a mesma do sonho, e ele encontra as mesmas pessoas lá.
