Em uma época futura um jovem (Casper Van Dien), após graduar-se, quer se alistar nas forças armadas para tornar-se um "cidadão" e deixar de ser um mero civil. Após descobrir que sua cidade natal, Buenos Aires, não existe mais em virtude de um ataque de insetos alienígenas do planeta Klendathu ele toma a decisão de fazer parte da grande ofensiva terrestre contra estes insetos (que são gigantescos e às vezes medem 30 metros) no planeta deles.
