This week Chris & Lizzie get carried away by Jan de Bont’s Twister and learn how he threw everything including the kitchen sink (literally) at Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton to get this movie made.

*According to screenwriter Terry Rossio, De Bont was actively considering Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton for the lead roles in his ill-fated Godzilla film (which pre-dated Twister).
